JUNG Yujeen (1987~)
Experience is a record of the senses. It is a reappearance created from the vision, and a momentary impression is the core recalling the entire experience. The light and feeling of air we pass by are contained within a single frame and remain as a refreshing stimulus – a clear impression. Everyday, without realizing, we live through numerous spaces and capture various momentary instances. Artist Yujeen Jung’s works embody of our daily experiences. She takes in her surroundings and recollects them into a single memory. Space portrayed in her works is a sensory experience disguised in the form of a vision. The artist captures the various actions occurring in a space, and the instances arousing emotions into a single frame of memory. The distance within the space, the depth of the shadows, and the weight of the objects; the things that exist without being realized are contained into a single reminiscence.
