School of the Art Institute of Chicago 의 Printmedia Department의 교수로 재직 중이다. (Chicago Stories: Prints and H. C. Westermann-See America First)", (Art Institute of Chicago)전에 참여할 예정이다.

For approximately the past ten years his work has been involved with social commentary, with the primary targets being the corporate structure, power and authority. The subject in the work in this exhibit is still concerned with social criticism, but has shifted its point of view inward, more toward personal politics as well as the role of the individual within the structure of the group- group dynamics. These pieces have, as a common denominator, a graphic depiction of the internal and external voices we all experience. Examples are rumors, personal struggles, moral dilemmas, contentious interactions, paranoia, and self-reflection. These voices provide a private form of conversation, affirmation, argument, shouting, debate and other forms of vocal communications.
Miller continues to use the face and head as universal graphic icons. For centuries, artists have used the same graphic strategy to represent the human condition. He has been influenced by any number of artist’s that work in this manner, such as Paul Klee, Saul Steinberg, Robert Crumb, Daumier and the vast array of comics, manga, and political cartoons that he enjoys on a daily basis.
Michael Miller has been teaching Print Media at School of the Art Institute of Chicago since 1973. Mostly working in Chicago, Miller was an invited artist for the 7th International Biennial Exhibition of Portrait, Drawings and Graphics at Tuzla, Bosnia/Herzegovina in 1997. His works were introduced in Korea in 2004 for the first time in a group exhibition entitled Face to Face at Ewha Museum and worked at Korea University as an adjunct professor for two years. In 2010, his solo exhibition is held at Gallery Sun Contemporary and two more shows- Colorprint U.S.A. 40th Anniversary Exhibition (April, 2010) and Chicago Stories: Prints and H.C. Westermann-See America First at Art Institute of Chicago- are ahead of him.
