그녀의 독특한 설치작품들은 2000년 Museum of Modern Art (MOMA)와 Saitama 미술관, 2002년 도쿄에 있는 Museum of Contemporary Art, 2003년 치바에 위치한 Kawamura Memorial DIC Museum of Art를 비롯한 많은 미술관과 갤러리에서 전시되었다.
The International Research Center for The Arts에서 펠로우쉽을 획득하기도 했다.
이런 일련의 수혜의 과정을 통해 그녀는 작업활동 초기에서부터 많은 해외 전시를 하게 되었는데 그 중에는 2002년 뉴욕 브루클린에 있는 “D.U.M.B.O Art Under the Bridge Festival,”과 2008년 독일 드레스덴의 Unoactu에서 “Camouflash/Disappear in ART”, 그리고 2008년 폴란드 포츠난의 Mona Inner Spaces(Museum of the Newest Art)에서 열리는 Mediations Biennale에 참여하게 된다.
그녀의 설치작품 “Please Wash Away”는 제팬 파운데이션의 콜렉션으로 2005년부터 현재까지 “Passage to the Future: Art from a New Generation”란 전시 명으로 세계 순회 전을 하고 있다.
이 때만 해도 평면 작품은 입체와 평면을 조화시킨 설치 작품인 “between th World and the Other World”의 일부였다.
Yokomizo was born in Tokyo. In 1994, she received a BFA from the Department of Sculpture at Tama Art University in Tokyo.

Her installation piece entitled “Please Wash Away” is currently part of the Japan Foundation’s collection which has been traveling world
wide since 2005 in the “Passage to the Future: Art from a New Generation” exhibition.
Formed by the repetitive action of the flicking of lines, these series are not aimed at creating picturesqueimages. This method is sculptural, and has a strong materialistic aspect. Consisting of extreme repetition, a visual event. It exploits ultimate visual capabilities, recalling and arousing uncertainty of what isbeing looked at. Repetition in quantity, such as geometric patterns, spherical shapes, vertical andhorizontal lines are essential. I prefer industrial, rather than natural materials, due to growing up in the 60’s, in downtown Tokyo.
“I wish to engage other people into the ambience of vast, “multiple-simplicity” She says.
Her works have been shown as public art and are included in the collections of several companies and institutions such as: the Kansai
Medical University Hirakata Hospital (Osaka), SkyperfecTV! (Tokyo), the Palace Hotel (Tokyo), the Domain Mall(Hong Kong), the Ritz-Car
lton Hotel (Kyoto), Shimadzu Corporation (Kyoto) and the Four Seasons Hotel (Kyoto). She currently lives and works in Kyoto.
